Cinsault

Find on this page all the wines made entirely or partly from the Cinsault grape variety. This red variety of Provençal origin adapts particularly well to warm and sunny terroirs and is highly appreciated for its light, fruity and low-alcohol characteristics. A lovely freshness is generally present in the cuvées produced mainly with this grape variety. While this variety is mainly vinified as a red wine, it is also regularly produced as a rosé (notably in Provence) where it brings a very appealing crispness.Cinsault is now also found in the Languedoc-Roussillon or the Rhône Valley and is often blended with Grenache and/or Syrah. Many appellations such as  Côtes-de-Provence, Châteauneuf-du-Pape or Côtes-du-Rhône allow the production of this variety, which will delight you as an aperitif if you opt for a  light and fruity “vin de copains”  or during a meal if you choose a full-bodied wine  where Cinsault is present in the blend.
