The wine : What a little gem with an excellent quality-price ratio this Beaulieu cuvée is! Aged for 1 year, half in amphora and half in oak barrels, its seductive and deep aromatic profile reaches us as soon as the glass is brought to the nose! There emerge delicious notes of candied red fruits (strawberry, raspberry) blending divinely well with aromas of pepper and garrigue as well as a subtle oakiness. To our great delight, freshness is present, as is always the case with Benoît Chazallon's winemaking, making it easy to return, glass after glass, to this very fine wine from the Coteaux de l'Ardèche. Ideal pairings with red meats and game, and magnificent aging potential!

The estate : If the Château de la Selve has a long history dating back to the 13th century, it has belonged to the Chazallon family since the early 1990s. In 2002, the family's son, Benoît, decided to create a wine estate there with his wife. From their arrival, they practiced organic and biodynamic farming to respect the limestone soils and the surrounding lands scented with garrigue. Today, with 44 hectares, the estate's grape varieties consist of Cinsault, Syrah, Grenache, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Viognier. A little-known gem to discover!
