In fact, to date, there are no Grands Crus, whether white or red, in the Côte Chalonnaise or the Mâconnais.

It is also important to emphasize that the Grands Crus are appellations in their own right. Thus, Corton-Charlemagne, Montrachet, and Clos de Vougeot are AOCs on their own.
