The wine : With almost 51 hectares, the Clos de Vougeot is the largest of the Grands Crus of Burgundy. It is within this vineyard that the house of Jacques Prieur owns a plot of just over one hectare on predominantly clay soil. Thanks to this terroir, the estate produces an incredible wine with a full-bodied palate and great finesse. The 22 months of aging in barrels (50% new) brilliantly refines this cuvée, which develops seductive fruity notes (cherry liqueur, strawberry, raspberry), spicy notes (licorice, pepper) as well as a delicious  undergrowth and humus character. The harmony is complete and the length exceptional, once again proving all the expertise of this legendary house. A great wine for cellaring, to pair with poultry, red meats, and game.

Fourteen prestigious Premiers Crus as well as the splendid Clos de Mazeray monopole complete the panorama.
