The estate : Iconic estate of Provence, the Domaine Tempier is one of the pioneers who enabled the creation of the Bandol appellation in 1941. The Peyraud family and Daniel Ravier, the estate's director, make the most of their 60 hectares, composed of Mourvèdre (over 40 hectares) but also Grenache noir, Cinsault, Carignan, and Syrah. The 5 hectares of white are divided between Clairette (65%), Ugni blanc, Bourboulenc, Marsanne, and Rolle. The estate has an exceptional heritage of very old vines, notably allowing the production of three iconic cuvées: La Migoua, La Tourtine, and Cabassaou. Red wines as well as rosés and whites here are of impressively consistent quality and deserve the full attention of enthusiasts.
