The estate : The Château de Beaucastel covers 100 hectares of vineyards, three-quarters of which are in AOC Châteauneuf-du-Pape (the remaining quarter being in AOC Côtes-du-Rhône). The estate has a terroir with porous soils, mainly composed of rolled pebbles, and is the first vineyard in the Rhône Valley certified Organic Farming since 1964. The estate is also one of the few to use all 13 grape varieties authorized in Châteauneuf-du-Pape in its wines. Managed by the Perrin family, an iconic sibling group of the region and of wine in France, Château de Beaucastel simply represents the elite of its appellation and enthusiasts snap up the estate's cuvées year after year.
