Collection: Buy Merlot wines

Find on this page all the wines made entirely or partly from the Merlot grape variety. Appeared at the end of the 18th century in Bordelais, this is the most planted grape in the region and is very often blended with cabernet-sauvignon and cabernet-franc. It is particularly widespread on the right bank, especially within appellations such as Pomerol or Saint-Émilion. Outside of Bordeaux, it is also found in the Sud-Ouest (Bergerac, Montravel), Languedoc-Roussillon as well as in many international countries such as Argentina, Chile, Australia and the United States. Its great success is partly due to the fact that it makes it possible to produce wines with an immediate fruity very pleasant and affordable as well as wines for laying down when put into assembly. It often exudes aromas of ripe red and black fruit (cherry, blackberry, blackcurrant) supported by fairly light tannins.
