The wine : This Pomerol from the Leydet family is an elegant and indulgent nectar with silky tannins. The palate is indeed particularly charming thanks to a seductive floral touch (violet), deep aromas of red and black fruits (cherry, blackberry) as well as a velvety texture. A well-integrated oak and a slightly spicy character finally contribute to the beautiful complexity of this cuvée. A top-flight Pomerol that can be enjoyed in its relative youth but will also improve in the cellar for several years!

The estate : Taken over by the Leydet family in 1962, the Château de Valois has been managed since 1996 by Fréderic, now at the head of 8 hectares converted to Organic Farming since the 2015 vintage. Located on sandy and fine gravel soils, the estate produces wines of great finesse, accessible in their relative youth but also capable of long aging. It should be noted that the family also owns an 8-hectare estate classified as Grand Cru in AOC Saint-Émilion. A discreet house of great quality!
