AOC Saint-Émilion

The Saint-Émilion AOC is located on the right bank of Bordeaux and extends over nearly 1,200 hectares. The soils in the area are quite varied, featuring a limestone plateau as well as sandy terroirs and gravelly soils. Some of the world's most renowned estates are found here, such as the famous Châteaux Cheval Blanc and Ausone, whose brand image resonates worldwide. The main grape variety is Merlot, which dominates with nearly 80% of the plantings, accompanied by Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon. The red wines offer a wide range of styles, but generally have a palate full of freshness and a rich, indulgent texture.
