Key words: Fruity / Graceful / For keeping
The wine: Very charming, this Saint-Émilion from the Leydet family evokes grace and elegance in tasting . notes of red and black fruits (plum, strawberry, blackberry, blackcurrant) mingle with a seductive touch of violet as well as a hint of pepper . The woodiness is very delicate here and does not impose itself but only accompanies the whole with a velvety texture as well as very fine tannins. If this cuvée is enjoyed superbly in its youth, it also has keeping potential for a good ten years which will then make it evolve towards notes of leather, mushroom and undertones. -drink. Favorite!

The estate: In 1973, Clos de Valentin was purchased by the Leydet family, also owners of Château de Valois in the Pomerol appellation. In 1983, during its transition to Saint-Émilion Grand Cru, the vineyard finally became Château Leydet-Valentin. In 1996, the family story continued when Frédéric Leydet, son of Bernard, began working on the property before gradually taking over the reins. Since the 2015 vintage, the 16 hectares composed mainly of Merlot, Cabernet Franc as well as a small part of Cabernet Sauvignon have been certified organic. The estate's vintages perfectly bring out all the finesse and elegance of these great Bordeaux terroirs...a superb discovery in perspective!
