Château Lynch-Moussas - Pauillac - 5ème Grand Cru Classé
Low stock : 5 bottle(s)
Key words: Power / Elegance / Complexity / For keeping
The wine: A noble and very sure value of the AOC Pauillac, the Grand Cru Lynch-Moussas reveals a superb aromatic complexity in tasting. Very elegant notes of leather, cedar and cigar box blend well with aromas reminiscent of roasting (coffee) as well as spices (pepper , licorice, eucalyptus) and black fruits (plum, blackberry). The body is dense but graceful and the tannins are beautifully ripe. A Médoc delight that can be cellared for many years and goes wonderfully with red meats and game.

The estate: Founded in 1610, Château Lynch-Moussas is a historic estate in the Pauillac appellation. Dubbed 5th Grand Cru Classified in 1855, it is the Castéja family who has been watching over this Bordeaux icon for over a century now. Today with 62 hectares in the Pauillac and Haut-Médoc AOCs, the vineyard is planted with 75% Cabernet-Sauvignon and 25% Merlot. The two grape varieties both grow on remarkable soils composed of gravel and clayey sand. The property also touches numerous other plots of Médoc Grands Crus Classés, such as Châteaux Latour, Lynch-Bages and Pichon-Longueville, demonstrating the exceptional terroir of Lynch-Moussas. A sure and very noble value in the region!
