Buy Black Grenache wines

Find on this page all the wines made entirely or partly from the Grenache noir grape variety. Originally from Spain (probably from Catalonia) where it is called Garnacha or Garnatxa, it crossed the French border in the 15th century and is now very widely cultivated throughout the Mediterranean basin but also internationally. It is thus very present in the southern Rhône Valley in appellations such as Châteauneuf-du-Pape, Côtes-du-Rhône but also in Provence where it is notably used to produce red wines but also rosé wines, often blended with Syrah and Cinsault. Finally, it is also very present in the Languedoc-Roussillon region, particularly in AOCs such as Terrasses du Larzac, Minervois, Pic-Saint-Loup, and Maury, where it is used to produce exquisite sweet natural wines. On the palate, it is relatively low in tannins, offers a lovely roundness (it has a high alcohol potential), with aromas of luscious red and black fruits as well as spicy notes.
