The wine : What a sensation this 1985 vintage is! This sweet red natural wine underwent oxidative aging outdoors for 1 year in demijohns followed by 27 years (!) in oak vats. The result is a unique cuvée with a tile-red color where aromas of prune and stewed black fruits blend with notes of mocha, cocoa, dried fig, walnut, and pepper in a sublime balance. A bottle to enjoy with blue cheeses or chocolate desserts. A delight of complexity and indulgence!

The estate : Since its creation in 1816, Mas Amiel has been a flagship for the great sweet natural wines of the Roussillon region. Acquired in 1999 by Olivier Decelle (also owner of Château Jean Faure in Saint-Émilion and Domaine Decelle in Burgundy), the estate now covers 155 hectares with mainly schist and clay-limestone soils. Since the beginning of the century, the vineyard has been converted to Organic Farming and is an absolute reference in Languedoc-Roussillon.
