Collection: Buy Mourvèdre wines

Find on this page all the wines made entirely or in part from the Mourvèdre grape variety. Originally from the province of Valencia in Spain where it is called Monastrell, it would have arrived in France during the 16th century, shortly after Grenache. It is still widely used today in the vineyards of Catalonia and Valencia. In France, it is present in many southern regions such as Provence (Côtes-de-Provence, Palette etc.), the Languedoc-Roussillon (Terrasses du Larzac, Pic-Saint-Loup, Minervois etc.) and the Southern Rhône Valley (Châteauneuf-du-Pape, Lirac). It is often used as a secondary grape variety to give structure and strength to wines but it also produces superb racy and intense cuvéeswhen it plays the leading roles. Its main appellation in France is Bandol where it is the most used black grape variety for red wines and rosés. Discover this variety with a strong character that will delight lovers of powerful wines and wines for laying down.
