The wine : The Moelleux from Domaine François and Julien Pinon precisely embodies the style of the great sweet Vouvray wines. Produced from the blend of two plots with clay soils, this magnificent Chenin reveals a profile that is both indulgent and perfectly balanced. The bouquet is rich and elegant, marked by aromas of quince jelly, mirabelle plum, pineapple, mango, complemented by delicate notes of white flowers and a subtly buttery touch. The estate : Reigning over 15 hectares of Chenin certified organic since the 2003 vintage, the Pinon family comes from a long winegrowing tradition, as their connection to the vine dates back to 1786! Julien represents the 8th generation and is now at the head of this benchmark estate in Vouvray. The estate's plots have varied exposures and a large part of the vines are over 40 years old. The whites are vinified in oak barrels on fine lees for 4 to 5 months, while the sparkling wines undergo long aging on racks, allowing for the production of very high-quality cuvées. Intervention is kept to a minimum at every stage of production to stay as close as possible to the terroir. A family offering delicious Chenins that you will love !
