The wine: À Nicolas is the great red vintage from Domaine Reverdy. This Pinot noir from a plot with limestone soil impresses with its intensity as well as its aromatic complexity. intense notes of black fruits (cherry, blackberry) are accompanied by a fine touch of wood and vanilla and are carried by a dense and balanced substance. A great wine from Sancerre with a lovely structure and a magnificent length and a bottle that will go wonderfully with red meats!

The estate: Located in Maimbray, in the North-West from the pretty village of Sancerre, the domaine Pascal and Nicolas Reverdy is one of the best estates in the appellation. Since 1985, Pascal Reverdy has been at the head of the estate. Joined by his brother in 1993, he died tragically in 2007, his shares then going to his wife Sophie. Today, Pascal's children, Victorien and Benjamin, are also participating in the adventure. The family owns 17 hectares (12 of Sauvignon and 5 of Pinot noir) growing mainly on clay-limestone terroirs here called "white lands". The wines produced are of great precision and do honor to the region with pure, precise and elegant aromatics.
