The wine : À Nicolas is the estate’s great red cuvée from Domaine Reverdy. This Pinot Noir, from a plot with limestone soil, is truly impressive for its concentration as well as its aromatic complexity. Intense notes of dark fruits (cherry, blackberry) are accompanied by a subtle touch of wood and vanilla and are supported by a dense and balanced texture. The estate : Located in Maimbray, northwest of the beautiful village of Sancerre, the Domaine Pascal et Nicolas Reverdy is one of the best estates in the appellation. Since 1985, Pascal Reverdy has been at the head of the estate. Joined by his brother in 1993, who tragically passed away in 2007, his shares then went to his wife Sophie. Today, Pascal’s children, Victorien and Benjamin, are also part of the adventure. The family owns 17 hectares (12 of Sauvignon and 5 of Pinot Noir) mainly on clay-limestone terroirs here called "terres blanches". The wines produced are of great precision and do honor to the region with pure, precise, and elegant aromatics.
