This delicious Rosolio (liqueur made from flowers and spices) is mainly composed of bergamot and lemon, offering a very fragrant aromatic evolving on the fresh citrus and rose. The brand: Launched in 2020 and produced by a small family distillery near Turin in Italy, Italicus is an aperitif bringing rosolio, a very fragrant Italian distillate with notes of citrus and flowers, back into fashion. All the ingredients are local here: the citron comes from Sicily, the bergamot from Calabria while lavender, gentian and yellow rose complete the whole. These are first infused with cold water to delicately extract the essential oils using a process called “Sfumatura”, then blended with a neutral Italian grain alcohol. Everything is packaged in a magnificent sky blue bottle which will have its effect in the evening!
