The wine : Located on the heights of Savigny-Lès-Beaune, the locality Les Champlains is characterized by very stony, poor soil. The exposure here is sunny and allows the Decelle & Fils estate to produce this delicious, perfectly balanced Hautes-Côtes de Beaune white wine between minerality and richness. The latter is notably brought by partial aging in oak barrels. Aromas of hawthorn and peach blend here with oakiness, thus providing a beautiful texture as well as buttery and vanilla notes. Discover this  delicate and harmonious cuvée, which will pair perfectly with seafood, shellfish, and fish!

The estate : Founded in 2009 by Olivier Decelle (Mas Amiel in Languedoc, Vignoble de Boisseyt in the Rhône, Château Jean-Faure in Saint-Émilion) and Pierre-Jean Villa (famous winemaker from the northern Rhône Valley), the estate was initially called Decelle-Villa. Following the latter's departure in 2020, the business changed its name to Decelle & Fils. Based in Nuits-Saint-Georges, the house now has 7 hectares cultivated organically in the Côte de Beaune and Côte de Nuits. The twenty or so cuvées produced across the different appellations perfectly express the diversity of character of Burgundy's terroirs and climates.
