IGP Côtes de Gascogne
With over 12,000 hectares, the IGP Côtes de Gascogne is nestled in the southwest of France and above all offers a terroir ideal for producing dry white wines, sweet and mellow wines (85% of the production). The Gers department, located to the west of Toulouse, accounts for 90% of the production of this Protected Geographical Indication. The climate here is temperate oceanic while the soils are mainly sandy and clay-limestone. The most common grape varieties are Colombard (50% of the white grape plantings), Gros Manseng, Sauvignon as well as Ugni Blanc. These varieties give rise to a range of fresh, lively, and aromatic white wines that are highly appreciated as an aperitif.Discover them—you won’t be disappointed!
