Located on the border between the Côte de Beaune and the Côte de Nuits, the Corton hill is one of the most emblematic vineyards of Burgundy and the world. It overlooks the villages of Aloxe-Corton, Pernand-Vergelesses, and Ladoix-Serrigny, and forms a true circular hill with varied exposures and a great diversity of clay-limestone soils. This unique combination makes it possible to produce red wines (predominantly) and white wines of high quality, renowned for their power, finesse, and aging potential.
The most iconic red Grands Crus from the Corton hill are Corton-Bressandes, known for its balance between power and elegance, and Corton Clos du Roi, renowned for its finesse and depth. The cuvées from Corton Les Renardes stand out for their density and structure. Finally, the hill is also home to the legendary Grand Cru white Corton-Charlemagne, vertical, ample, and precise, which completes the exceptional Burgundy character of this unique terroir.
