Purchase AOC Côte Rôtie wines

The AOC Côte Rôtie is located in the northern part of the Rhône Valley and is among the most spectacular appellations in the entire French vineyard. Cultivated by humans for over 2000 years, the vineyard features very steep slopes with gradients up to 60%! Thanks to these fabulous terraces, the vines are perfectly exposed, allowing for optimal ripeness.Composed in the north of a Dark Coast (with dark soils of mica-schists and clays) and a Light Coast  (with lighter soils of granites and siliceous rocks) further south,  the region is a blessed place  for  syrah  which makes up almost all of the planting, although a bit of viognier is also present. The latter can indeed be blended  in the wines up to a maximum of 20% (a figure rarely reached). The wines of the region are exceptional in depth and aromatic richness, undoubtedly among the very best of the French vineyard. Try the adventure and taste the sublime Côte Rôtie from the domains Stéphane Ogier and François Merlin!
