The wine : The Crozes-Hermitage from Domaine Pierre Gaillard perfectly embodies the refined style of the great wines of the northern Rhône Valley. Made from Syrah, this cuvée immediately captivates with its aromatic expression.  The nose reveals generous aromas of blackberry and black cherry, accompanied by a peppery touch as well as a subtle oakiness that enhances the whole. The estate : Gaillard is certainly one of the greatest names in the Rhône Valley. Heading four estates (two in the Rhône Valley and two in Languedoc-Roussillon), the historic vineyard of the siblings is nevertheless that of the Pierre Gaillard estate. With 25 hectares, it covers the finest appellations in the north of the region, notably Condrieu and Côte Rôtie. Arriving in 1981, Pascale and Pierre Gaillard now work with their three children and offer wines imbued with finesse and elegance that every enthusiast should (re)discover. Syrah, Viognier, as well as Marsanne and Roussanne, are lovingly and passionately cultivated here on predominantly schist and granite soils. Discover their cuvées, you won't be disappointed !
