Purchase Sangiovese / Nielluccio wines

Originally from Tuscany in Italy, it is the king grape of the Chianti appellation where it is often blended with other minor varieties such as mammolo, cannaiolo, cabernet-sauvignon or merlot. Still in Tuscany, it is the only grape variety allowed in the DOCG Brunello di Montalcino and allows local winemakers to create exceptional wines of class and longevity. In France, it is found in the Corse vineyard under the name Niellucciu and is notably the main grape variety of the Patrimonio appellation.This noble variety produces wines of beautiful power and great tannic potential capable of aging gracefully for several decades when it undergoes long barrel aging.
