Also called Vermentino in Italy or Vermentinu in Corsica, its origins remain rather unclear although most voices agree in make a variety of Italian origin. Either way, it's a type of grape that greatly enjoys the Mediterranean heat! It is therefore also found in addition to the regions mentioned above within Provence or in Languedoc as a secondary grape variety. Its very fine and classy aromatics when it is well cultivated and vinified make it a noble variety.
