The IGP Coteaux de l'Ardèche is a very large appellation covering 7,500 hectares between Ardèche and Gard. It is a land of contrast, between its mountains to the west, its plateaus, and its valleys. The garrigue marks the landscapes, and the soils are very varied, although mainly clay-limestone. The main grape varieties in red are Merlot, Grenache, and Cinsault, while Grenache Blanc, Viognier, and Chardonnay represent the majority of the production in white. In the north of the IGP, the vineyards benefit from a temperate climate, while in the south, heat and dryness are important markers, producing sunny and warm wines.Here is another very nice designation allowing you to find beautiful gems at very gentle prices!
