Gewurztraminer

You will find on this page all the white wines made entirely or partly from the Gewurztraminer grape variety. This highly aromatic variety, also known as savagnin rose, thrives mainly in Germany, Austria, and of course in Alsace, its most probable birthplace. Gewurztraminer is easily recognized on the palate, displaying very charming and expressive aromas of rose, exotic fruits, spices, and honey, all with a certain exuberance. Most often vinified as off-dry and sweet wines, it is one of the noble Alsatian grape varieties and pairs wonderfully with foie gras, spicy dishes with Asian influences, or with many fruit-based desserts.
