Montello Asolo DOC is a small and relatively young appellation created in 1977 (called Montello e Colli Asolani at the time) located in the province of Treviso, in Veneto, Italy. Here, 6,000 hectares of vineyards stretch across beautiful rolling hills within 5 municipalities:Crocetta del Montello, Giavera del Montello, Montebelluna, Nervesa della Battaglia, and Volpago del Montello. The most common grape varieties for red wines are Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, as well as Carménère, while Chardonnay, Pinot Grigio, Pinot Bianco, Bianchetta Trevigniana, and Manzoni Bianco represent the majority of white wine production. The region is full of hidden gems and outstanding yet little-known wines, clearly deserving the attention of enthusiasts!
