The wine : Il rosso dell'Abazia is THE great red wine from the Serafini & Vidotto estate. Made from a blend of typically Bordeaux grape varieties, this cuvée nevertheless transports us straight to Italy. The texture is indeed velvety, the silky tannins as desired and the body particularly indulgent. The aromatic profile of this beautiful bottle is particularly warm, evolving with aromas of dark fruits (morello cherry, blackberry), sweet spices (vanilla, cinnamon) as well as  pepper and eucalyptus. The whole is particularly charming and expresses a measured power. Pairings with red meats and charcuterie. "Fuoriclasse" (outstanding) as our Italian friends say!

The estate : Founded in 1986 by Francesco Serafini and Antonello Vidotto, the eponymous 20-hectare estate quickly established itself as a benchmark in the Veneto region as well as within the Montello Asolo DOC (formerly Montello e Colli Asolani). Seduced by the beauty of the hills, the gentle wooded valleys, and the proximity of the Piave River, the two winemakers have made this land their passion, giving rise to a range of wines of superb quality that perfectly reflect the local terroir. Their approach, focused on finesse and purity, highlights the clay-iron soils of the appellation, offering wines of great elegance. Each bottle from the Serafini & Vidotto estate is a magnificent discovery and tells the story of two men driven by their love for their land.
