On this page, you will find all the white wines made entirely or partially from the Marsanne grape, a white grape particularly used in the northern part of the Rhône Valley but also sometimes in Provence and Languedoc. This variety, which our Swiss neighbors call "Hermitage," is indeed a key grape for white wines in the Hermitage, Crozes-Hermitage and Saint-Joseph appellations. In Provence, it is notably found in Cassis or Bandol. Wines produced with this grape generally have a rather light body, a relatively low acidity and express juicy notes of white fruits (apricot, peach) as well as aromas of white flowers and dried fruits.
