The cuvées of the IGP Île de Beauté are appealing for their great richness and their accessible style.Produced throughout the entire Corsican vineyard, they reflect the influence of the Mediterranean climate and the richness of local varieties. This geographical indication allows local winemakers to produce red, white, and rosé wines with varied profiles, suitable both for casual tasting and for indulgentpairings at the table.
The reds generally present a supple and expressive style as well as a rather colorful ruby hue. Made notably from varieties such as Niellucciu, Sciaccarellu, or even Grenache noir, they reveal on the palate aromas of ripe red fruits, sometimes accompanied by spicy and slightly peppery notes. Their round texture and balanced structure make them easy-to-enjoy cuvées, perfect for accompanying generous meals.
The whites are most often dominated by Vermentino. These cuvées are distinguished by their freshness and liveliness, with flavors of citrus, white flowers, and stone fruits (peach, pear, etc.). Their elegant aromatic profile and beautiful tension on the palate make them particularly appreciated wines to accompany fish, seafood, or summer cuisine.
Finally, rosé also holds an important place in the production of IGP Île de Beauté. Fresh, fruity, and indulgent, it generally offers flavors of strawberry, raspberry, or redcurrant. Its generous style and great drinkability perfectly embody the sunny spirit of Corsica.
