Roussanne

You will find on this page all the white wines made entirely or partly from the Roussanne grape variety. This variety is very present in the Rhône Valley, and can be found in appellations such as Saint-Joseph, Hermitage, Crozes-Hermitage or even Châteauneuf-du-Pape further south. In the North, it is almost always blended with its counterpart Marsanne. Also called Bergeron in Savoie, it is therefore not surprising that this variety is the exclusive grape of AOC Chignin-Bergeron. A noble grape par excellence, Roussanne produces wines of great finesse generally displaying a refined aromatic depth.Aromas of fleshy white fruits such as peach, pear, or even floral scents can be found in the glass. Thanks to its acidity, great wines made from Roussanne age superbly well.
