Marsanne

On this page, you will find all the white wines made entirely or partly from the Marsanne grape variety , a white grape particularly used in the northern part of the  Rhône Valley but also sometimes in Provence and Languedoc. This variety, which our Swiss neighbors call "Hermitage," is indeed a key grape for white wines in the Hermitage, Crozes-Hermitage and Saint-Joseph appellations. In Provence, it is notably found in Cassis and Bandol. Wines produced with this grape generally have a rather light body, relatively low acidity and display juicy notes of white fruits (apricot, peach) as well as aromas of white flowers and dried fruits.
