AOC Crozes-Hermitage

The Crozes-Hermitage AOC is probably one of the most exciting in the entire Rhône Valley. Spanning approximately 1,700 hectares, the area is renowned for its remarkable, spirited, and spicy wines, still offered at reasonable prices. The appellation covers 11 communes in the Drôme, where a warm and dry Mediterranean climate prevails, also influenced by the mistral wind. 92% of production is dedicated to red wines (100% Syrah) and 8% to white wines made from the grape varieties Roussanne and Marsanne. The terroirs here are quite varied: stony terraces, granitic soils, and even sandy soils are present, allowing for the production of superb cuvées that delight local enthusiasts with their finesse and complexity.
