AOC Rully

The Rully AOC is located in the Côte Chalonnaise, south of Burgundy, and covers about 365 hectares of vineyards. The vineyard is mainly planted with Chardonnay (65%), complemented by Pinot Noir (35%). A little over a quarter of the area benefits from Premier Cru classification Premier Cru. The clay-limestone soils of the appellation give rise to white wines that are both fruity and marked by a beautiful minerality. The reds, for their part, reveal aromas indulgentof red fruits enhanced by delicate spicy notes, with a structure that allows them to evolve harmoniously over the years. Accessible and high-quality, the appellation often offers excellent value for money for the region, as demonstrated by the precise and meticulous work of Domaine Jaeger-Defaix.
