The wine: E Croce rouge is an iconic vintage from the Patrimonio appellation. Carried by a majority of the indigenous Niellucciu grape variety as well as a touch of Grenache, this great Corsican wine expresses on the palate a beautiful power as well as a sacred character. spicy notes (thyme, pepper, eucalyptus) combine here for our greatest happiness with warm black fruits (blackcurrant, blackberry, cherry) as well as a hint of black olive. The palate is sanguine and offers a tannic base which will allow this bottle to keep for a long time in the cellar. Magnificent pairings with red meats and game seem obvious here! Salute!

The estate: Yves Leccia no longer needs to be presented in Corsica. His work for more than 40 years has allowed and still allows the uniqueness of the wines of the island of beauty to shine throughout France and the world. In 2004, the latter left the family estate "Leccia" to create his own property with his wife Sandrine. From 6 hectares at the beginning, the couple now farms 15, all cultivated organically in the Patrimonio appellation and its surroundings. The terroirs here are clay-limestone and schistose and most of the vineyard is made up of 4 grape varieties: Vermentinu (Rolle) and Biancu Gentile in white as well as Grenache and Niellucciu in red.
