The wine : E Croce red is an iconic cuvée of the Patrimonio appellation. Driven by a majority of the native Niellucciu grape variety as well as a touch of Grenache, this great Corsican wine expresses on the palate a beautiful power as well as a remarkable character. Spicy notes (thyme, pepper, eucalyptus) combine here for our greatest pleasure with warm dark fruits (blackcurrant, blackberry, cherry) as well as a hint of black olive. The palate is sanguine and offers a tannic structure which will allow this bottle to be cellared for a long time . Magnificent pairings with red meats and game are clearly evident here! Salute!

The estate : Yves Leccia needs no introduction in Corsica. His dedicated work for over 40 years has enabled and continues to showcase the uniqueness of the wines of the Isle of Beauty throughout France and the world. In 2004, he left the family estate "Leccia" to create his own property with his wife Sandrine. From 6 hectares at the beginning, the couple now cultivates 15, all organically farmed in the Patrimonio appellation and its surroundings. The terroirs here are clay-limestone and schist, and the majority of the vineyard is composed of 4 grape varieties:  Vermentinu (Rolle) and  Biancu Gentile for whites, as well as Grenache and Niellucciu for reds. Tasting Yves Leccia's wines means  embarking on a fabulous journey to Corsica and being certain not to be disappointed!
