The wine : A deliciously inviting white Bordeaux, every bit as worthy of attention as the region’s reds! Equal proportions of Sémillon and Sauvignon Blanc, complemented by a touch of Muscadelle, offer luscious peach and apricot notes with a delicate honeysuckle fragrance. Barrel ageing adds a hint of vanilla that blends beautifully with the fruit and accentuates the rounded palate. The estate : Viticulturist in Listrac since 1756, the Raymond family has owned the Saransot-Dupré estate since 1875. The very pleasant and communicative Yves Raymond (5th generation) has been at the head of this beautiful Cru Bourgeois Supérieur since the late 1980s. The 17-hectare estate is planted 90% with red varieties, mainly Merlot. The soils are clay-limestone and the winemaking is traditional (concrete vats followed by aging in barrels with a proportion of 25 to 30% new barrels). Yves Raymond creates elegant, refined wines with excellent aging potential. A beautiful quality estate offering wines with an excellent quality-price ratio!
