The wine : The Fantastique red cuvée from Château Sainte-Marguerite is undoubtedly among the very best Provençal reds ! Aged for 2 years in barrels, this delicious blend of Syrah and Grenache offers an aromatic profile of great complexity evolving towards notes of sweet and exotic spices (vanilla, cinnamon, cocoa, licorice, roasted notes, coconut), velvety dark fruits (cherry, blackberry, plum, blackcurrant) and is structured by beautiful, well-integrated tannins. An exceptional length completes the tasting of this magnificent bottle, which can be enjoyed now but will also age elegantly in the cellar for a decade or more. Impossible to forget once tasted !

The estate : The Fayard family bought the Château Sainte-Marguerite on a whim in 1977: the quality of the plant material, the Mediterranean climate as well as the soils mainly composed of weathered clay and schist were a real favorite for Jean-Pierre Fayard and his wife. At the time, with only 11 hectares, this superb Provençal estate now consists of a heritage of 75 hectares of vines. This Cru Classé of Provence has since come a long way and has great ambitions. The completion in March 2020 of a superb brand new winery is further proof of this. Certified Organic and Vegan, the estate offers a magnificent high-level range that does honor to Provence: rosés but also reds and whites live up to the ambitions set by the family.
