The wine: This delicious Margaux from Château Mille Roses is a wine that perfectly embodies its appellation. Its aromatic evolves into beautiful aromas of ripe fruit (cherry, blackcurrant, blackberry, plum) underlined by fine oaky and spicy notes notes. The tannins here are delicate and melted and envelop this vintage which is both elegant and gourmand. The estate: Created in 1999 by Sophie and David Faure, Château Mille roses spans 9.5 hectares, organically cultivated since 2010. Cabernet-sauvignon remains the predominant variety on the estate, accompanied by Merlot and a parcel of Petit Verdot. Aging is conducted in oak barrels, designed to underline rather than overpower the fruit. The estate’s highly distinctive terroir is mainly composed of gravel and sand. Notably, Château Mille Roses enjoys prestigious neighbors, with its vines surrounded by those of Châteaux Giscours and Cantemerle, both Grands Crus Classés.
