The wine: Château Meyney is indisputably one of the best unclassified wines of the Médoc. In constant progress for more than 15 years, here is a property with remarkable terroir which offers us a very great vintage. Endowed with noble tannins and designed for aging, this nectar releases a beautiful power thanks to its aromas of ripe black fruits (blackcurrant, blackberry, plum) accompanied delicious notes of vanilla, tobacco and roasting. An iconic Saint-Estèphe which will evolve wonderfully as the years go by!

Grape varieties: 42% Cabernet-Sauvignon, 40% Merlot, 18% Petit Verdot
AOC: Saint-Estèphe
Drinking and storing: Drink now and keep until 2039
Service temperature: 16-18°C
The estate: The origin of the Château Meyney dates back to the 17th century, a time when the Fathers of the Convent of Feuillants made the first plantations. With the Revolution, the estate passed into the hands of the Luetkens family before being acquired in 1918 by Désiré Cordier. The property remained in the family until 2004 but due to financial difficulties, it was finally sold to Crédit Agricole through the company CA Grands Crus. Since then, a major restructuring plan has been undertaken and the wines have only progressed. Neighboring Montrose, the 51 hectare vineyard in one piece benefits from an exceptional terroir of gravel with a thick vein of blue clay in the subsoil, like in Pétrus! A place where Cabernet-Sauvignon (60%), Merlot (30%) and Petit Verdot (10%) flourish wonderfully. Here is a nugget from Saint-Estèphe which has regained its former glory!
