Château Saransot-Dupré

The Château Saransot-Dupré is an excellent Cru Bourgeois Supérieur located in the Listrac-Médoc AOC. The latter, often unfairly overlooked because it is surrounded by more prestigious neighbors such as Saint-Julien or Margaux, nevertheless deserves to be put on the map as its clay-limestone terroir allows the production of wines with a more refined profile, expressing finesse and minerality. This is the case here thanks to the excellent work of Yves Raymond, who took over the 17 hectares of his family's vineyards at the end of the 1980s. The grape varieties are mainly composed of Merlot followed by Petit Verdot, Cabernet-franc, Cabernet-sauvignon and a hint of Carménère.
