Collection: Purchase AOC Chignin and Chignin-Bergeron wines
The AOC Chignin is located in Savoie, south of the city of Chambéry, and produces mostly wines whites but also some red wines and more rarely rosés. The 270 hectares of vines here face south/south-west and are protected from the winds by the surrounding massifs. The grape variety is largely dominated by laJacquère, an emblematic Savoyard variety. Côté red wines, Gamay, Pinot noir and the local grape variety Mondeuse are the main varieties present. The AOC Chignin-Bergeron covers the same terroir but is exclusively reserved for the production of white wines from the variety Roussanne(known locally as Bergeron) . The wines of these appellations are generally appreciated on their youth and if the Chignin whites generally offer a beautiful vivacity and freshness, the wines of the AOCChignin-Bergeron evolve more in roundness and greediness.
