The IGP Méditerranée was created in 1999 under the name Portes de la Méditerranée before permanently adopting its current name in 2009. It now covers 10,500 hectares and spans 3 regions including, of course, Provence but also Corsica as well as two departments of the Rhône (Ardèche and Drôme). The production mainly focuses on rosé (75% ), but red wines (15%) and white wines (10%) are also well represented! 85% of the wines produced are blends of several grape varieties, with the main ones for reds being grenache, cabernet-sauvignon, merlot, and syrah, while the whites are mainly from the varieties rolle, viognier, chardonnay, marsanne, and roussanne. The wines produced are highly appreciated for their freshness as well as their gourmet and accessible nature. These cuvées perfectly complement your aperitifs and meals with ease and pleasure!
