The Château Saransot-Dupré is an excellent Cru Bourgeois Supérieur located in the AOC Listrac-Médoc. The latter, often unjustly overlooked due to its more prestigious neighbors like Saint-Julien or Margaux, deserves to be highlighted on the map as its clay-limestone terroir allows for the production of wines with a more refined profile, expressing finesse and minerality. This is the case here thanks to the excellent work of Yves Raymond, who took over the 17 hectares of his family's vineyards in the late 1980s.The grape variety is predominantly composed of Merlot followed by Petit Verdot, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon and a hint of Carménère.
