The wine : This 20-year-old with an amber robe from Mas Amiel delights us with its great aromatic complexity and its finesse. Indulgent notes of chocolate and coffee fill the palate, accompanied by aromas of dried fruits (raisin, fig, walnut, hazelnut), sweet spices (cinnamon, licorice, pepper) as well as candied red and black fruits (cherry, prune). The tasting ends with a lingering and very digestible finish. The whole works wonderfully with blue-veined cheeses (Blue, Roquefort, etc.) or chocolate desserts. A real treat!

The estate : Since its creation in 1816, Mas Amiel has been a flagship for the great natural sweet wines of the Roussillon region. Acquired in 1999 by Olivier Decelle (also owner of Château Jean Faure in Saint-Émilion and Domaine Decelle in Burgundy), the estate now covers 155 hectares with mainly schist and clay-limestone soils. Since the beginning of the century, the vineyard has been converted to Organic Farming and is an absolute reference in Languedoc-Roussillon.
