The wine: This pretty Pinot noir comes from a clay-limestone terroir expressing a lot of finesse. The nose and palate evolve into a beautiful fruitiness specific to Hautes-Côtes de Nuits with its notes of raspberry, blackberry, redcurrant and strawberry. The tannins are light and the whole offers a charming and digestible aromatic. A true Burgundian pleasure, perfect as an aperitif, on a charcuterie board or as a main course accompanied by a nice white meat!

The estate: Located in Marey-lès-Fussey a few kilometers from Nuits-Saint-Georges, the domaine Thevenot Le Brun is a family property today in the hands of the 5th generation, represented by Nicolas who has taken over the reins since 2009. The Thevenot family now has 30 hectares, mainly located in Hautes Côtes de Nuits and its vineyard is HVE 3 (High Environmental Value) certified. The terroirs used are clay-limestone and the range of wines offered is of a very good standard in both white and red and is a credit to the region.
