The wine : Originating from a terroir of granitic sands, this delicious Condrieu from the Gaillard family amazes us with its beautiful classicism full of precision. An enveloping texture is present on the palate, bringing with it notes of peach, apricot, and honey as well as an indulgent yet digestible vanilla oakiness. A delicate floral imprint (honeysuckle, acacia) is also present, accompanied by more exotic aromas (mango, pineapple). A delight that will ideally accompany your sauced fish dishes or poultry.

The estate : Gaillard is certainly one of the greatest names in the Rhône Valley. Heading four estates (two in the Rhône Valley and two in Languedoc-Roussillon), the historic vineyard of the siblings is nonetheless that of the Pierre Gaillard estate. With 25 hectares, it covers the finest appellations in the north of the region, notably those of Condrieu and Côte Rôtie. Arriving in 1981, Pascale and Pierre Gaillard now work with their three children and offer wines imbued with finesse and elegance that every enthusiast should (re)discover. Syrah, Viognier, but also Marsanne and Roussanne are lovingly and passionately cultivated here on predominantly schist and granite terroirs. Discover their cuvées—you won't be disappointed!
