The wine: The vintage Terre de Maimbray red is a delicious Pinot noir with nice concentration as well as great aromatic elegance. Intense notes of red and black fruits (cherry, strawberry, blackberry, raspberry) mingle here with a powdery substance as well as supple tannins of a nice finesse. A touch of black olive also appears, indicating the excellent maturity of the harvested grapes. The tasting ends with a seductive length on the palate making you want to come back immediately. A Sancerre which will go wonderfully with white meats or a nice platter of charcuterie!

The estate: Located in Maimbray, in the North-West from the pretty village of Sancerre, the domaine Pascal and Nicolas Reverdy is one of the best estates in the appellation. Since 1985, Pascal Reverdy has been at the head of the estate. Joined by his brother in 1993, he died tragically in 2007, his shares then going to his wife Sophie. Today, Pascal's children, Victorien and Benjamin, are also participating in the adventure. The family owns 17 hectares (12 of Sauvignon and 5 of Pinot noir) growing mainly on clay-limestone terroirs here called "white lands". The wines produced are of great precision and do honor to the region with pure, precise and elegant aromatics. The range suffers from no defects and the concept of family know-how takes on its full meaning here, vintage after vintage. Discover their vibrant vintages and discover what is best in Sancerre!
