The wine: The vintage Les Anges lots comes from old Sauvignon vines with an average age of 65 years. Thanks to this exceptional plant material, the Reverdy family offers here a sublime Sancerre with a rich aromatic concentration. Notes of ripe citrus fruits as well as peach, pear and mangoare perceptible on the palate, accompanied of great minerality. Thanks to its aging in wooden vats, the body is silky and perfectly supports the whole. A cuvée intended for the table and which will go sublimely with foie gras, scallops or even fish in sauce. A real delight!

The estate: Located in Maimbray, in the North-West from the pretty village of Sancerre, the domaine Pascal and Nicolas Reverdy is one of the best estates in the appellation. Since 1985, Pascal Reverdy has been at the head of the estate. Joined by his brother in 1993, he died tragically in 2007, his shares then going to his wife Sophie. Today, Pascal's children, Victorien and Benjamin, are also participating in the adventure. The family owns 17 hectares (12 of Sauvignon and 5 of Pinot noir) growing mainly on clay-limestone terroirs here called "white lands". The wines produced are of great precision and do honor to the region with pure, precise and elegant aromatics.
