The estate : If the Marchand and Grillot families both had a long winemaking tradition before 1950, it was during this vintage and through a marriage that their strengths were definitively united to form the Marchand-Grillot estate. Today, siblings Étienne and Marion, together with their father Jacques, oversee a 12-hectare vineyard mainly located in Gevrey-Chambertin, but also in Morey-Saint-Denis and Chambolle-Musigny. The family philosophy is characterized by bio-based viticulture, limiting intervention both in the vineyard and in the cellar. No synthetic pesticides or herbicides are used, and the doses of added sulfites are very moderate. The winemaking process is also very gentle, bringing out the full potential of each terroir. Finesse and elegance are the key words here!
