The wine: Coming from old vines with an average age of 60 years, this delicious cuvée brilliantly reveals a bright fruitiness coated with a creamy texture. Aromas of black cherry, blackberry and raspberry are here supported by subtle oaky and vanilla notes, creating a wine particularly gourmet and perfectly balanced. A pinot noir from the Côte Chalonnaise, very charming and tasty !

The estate: Heir from a line of 11-generation winegrowers, François Raquillet began working the vineyard with his father in 1984 and took over the estate in 1990 with his wife Emmanuelle. From then on, he made significant changes to the working philosophy by decreasing yields and introducing the use of premium quality barrels. The estate today operates 14 hectares of vines (75% pinot noir, 25% chardonnay) within the AOC Mercurey in Côte Chalonnaise and offers a diverse range of high-level white and red wines. Since 2018, their daughter Jeanne has joined them on the estate and the family's continuity of the farm is therefore assured. Acclaimed by amateurs and the specialist press alike, this is a brilliant Burgundian estate that you absolutely must know!
